Grow. Eat. Repeat.

We moved out to the Whitemouth area in Spring 2019, to a 22 acre parcel of forested land at the edge of the wild, where the great Canadian Shield meets the open prairie. Our dream of growing our own chemical-free, all natural, nutrient-dense food started to become reality. Surrounded by the wild songs of coyotes and wolves, sandhill cranes and woodpeckers, crickets and frogs, we embarked on our journey to create a home for our growing family.

We soon realized that the abundance that we were creating had to be shared! And so, our farm business was born.

Although we both have family histories of farming, we were both city kids who dreamt of living closer to nature.

Inspired by permaculture principles, every decision we make for our farm is made with the understanding that our needs can be and must be met within our own ecological limitations. We are committed to regenerative principles, in which we strive to maintain the health of our environment, by increasing biological diversity, and aiming to have our farm and our family’s needs met from within the system.

Human beings are an incredible force of change in the environment. That force can be destructive when we view nature as a source of raw materials, to be exploited for wealth and profit. The results of this paradigm are everywhere: degraded soils, polluted waters, climate disasters.

But there is another way.

If we use our species’ unique cognitive abilities creatively, human beings can also be regenerative, a force of positivity. This means working with nature. Understanding and respecting the natural cycles that occur and to which we are connected.

Respect for the soil.

Respect for the water.

Respect for the diversity of life.

This our ethos, our philosophy. Join us in creating a more abundant Earth!
